Reinstating the General Obligation to Attend Mass
The Catholic Bishops of New Jersey are lifting the dispsensation of the Sunday and Holy Days Mass obligation beginning on Saturday, June 5, 2021, and Sunday, June 6, 2021, the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ.As the approval and distribution of COVID-19 vaccines increases, so too, have the questions as to the moral implications surrounding them.
The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops has developed the following resources to assist the Faithful and people of good will with their attempts to answer these questions.

Bishop David J. Malloy of Rockford and chairman of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops’ Committee on International Justice and Peace; Sean Callahan, president of Catholic Relief Services; and Sr. Mary Haddad, RSM, president of the Catholic Health Association of the United States, issued a statement addressing the Catholic response to the outbreak of the coronavirus.
